Recommendations for award of Medal or Clasp

Recommendations for the award of the Medal or Clasp shall be submitted by the Commandant to the Belize Defence Board. The Commandant shall recommend only such persons who satisfy the conditions of eligibility specified in these Regulations, provided that in exceptional and deserving cases, he may submit a recommendation for the award of the Medal if, in his opinion, the offences recorded on a person’s Force Conduct Sheet are of trivial or technical nature, and where there is no evidence of misconduct; and every such recommendation shall be supported by a statement by the Commandant giving reasons why the normal qualifications should be waived.
