Provision for Service in the Police Special Force

In computing the amount of pension or other grant which may be awarded under these Regulations, allowance shall be made for service in the Police Special Force or other Government Service as may be fixed by the appropriate authority, provided that where an officer or soldier who has served in a pensionable post in the Public Service has transferred to the Belize Defence Force on or before the 31st December, 1978, he shall be entitled to have the entire period of service in the Public 170 Defence Service and the Belize Defence Force counted towards the grant of a pension, at his election, either- (a) under the Pensions Act and Regulations made thereunder; or CAP. 135.
