Death in harness gratuity

Where a member of the Regular Force dies whilst in the service of the Belize Defence Force (whether or not on duty at the time of his death), the appropriate authority may grant to his legal personal representative a gratuity of an amount not 182 Defence exceeding his annual rate of pay or his commuted pension gratuity, if any, whichever is the greater. etc.
