Reckonable service under this part

Subject to regulations 4 and 5, service that may be taken into account for the grant of a pension shall be so much of the officer’s qualifying service as was given after his date of commissioning, provided that where the officer served in the ranks before he was commissioned his service as a soldier may be included in accordance with regulation 21(b).
