Sitting of the Court

76. Subject to the provisions of the Act and of these Rules relating to adjournment, a trial shall be continued from day to day and the court shall sit for such time each day as may be reasonable in the circumstances, provided that the court shall not sit on Sunday, Christmas Day or Good Friday, unless in the opinion of the court or of the convening officer the exigencies of the service make it necessary to do so.
