Rules for reckoning service

In reckoning the service of any soldier of the regular force towards discharge or re-engagement or transfer to the reserve, there shall be excluded therefrom all periods during which he has been absent from his duty for any of the following causes– (a) (b) desertion; and (c) absence without leave exceeding twenty-eight days.
