Terms of enlistment

(1) The term for which a person enlisting in the regular force may be enlisted shall be such a term beginning with the date of his attestation as is mentioned in sub-section (2). (2) The said terms shall be– (a) a term of twelve years regular service; (b) a term of three years regular service and nine years in the reserve; 19 (c) a term of six years regular service and six years in the reserve; or (d) a term of nine years regular service and three years in the reserve.
