Appointment and transfer of officers

(1) Every officer upon being granted a commission shall, in accordance with the advice of the Security Services Commission, be appointed by the Governor-General. (2) The Governor-General may, in accordance with the advice of the Security Services Commission, transfer any officer between the regular force, the volunteer element and the reserve, 17 provided that no officer shall be transferred to the regular force, the volunteer element or the reserve without his consent.
