Appointment of authorized inspectors

(1) The Minister may, on the recommendations of any local authority responsible for the administration of any city or town, appoint suitably qualified persons as authorized inspectors for the city or town under the administration of that local authority, and such authorized inspectors shall perform such duties and functions in the administration of this Part as may from time to time be specified to them in writing by the (2) Any authorized inspector appointed by the Minister pursuant to subsection (2) of this section shall be an employee of the local authority which recommended his appointment.
