Corruption of juror or juror misbehaving

(1) Every person who, (a) corruptly influences or attempts to influence any juror in the performance of his functions as a juror in any cause before the court; or (b) corruptly interferes with the trial of any cause before the court, shall be guilty of an offence and on conviction on indictment be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years. (2) Every juror who yields to any corrupt influence or is guilty of any improper behaviour in connection with the performance of his functions as a juror shall be guilty of an offence and on conviction on indictment be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years.
