Order for inquisition as to person of unsound mind

(1) The court may upon application by order direct an inquisition whether a person is of unsound mind and incapable of managing himself and his affairs. (2) Where the person who is alleged to be of unsound mind is within the jurisdiction, he shall have notice of the application and shall be entitled to demand an inquiry before a jury. (3) Upon the hearing of the application, the person alleged to be of unsound mind may withdraw any demand for a jury made by him.
