Support for victim

(1) The court shall, in any matter relating to the prosecution of an offence under this Act, provide an interpreter who speaks the language the victim understands to assist the victim in giving evidence during the course of the trial. (2) The Police Department and the Department responsible for children shall not house a victim of an offence under this Act Children (Prohibition) 21 in a detention facility or any other facility used to detain or house a person charged with or convicted of any offence under this Act or any other law.
