Guiding principles

In the investigation and prosecution of an offence under this Act, the following guidelines shall be taken into consideration– (a) the best interests of the victim shall be secured by protecting and enforcing the rights of that (b) the efforts of the with for the Police Department, Ministry of Health, Immigration Department and any other agency shall be a coordinated response to minimize the risk of re-victimization of the victim; and Children (Prohibition) 19 (c) reasonable protection shall be given to the victim and where appropriate, the victim’s family, to prevent reprisals from the perpetrator or any organized criminal group or network or from witness intimidation.
