Offence of sex tourism

(1) A person who permits, consents, divulges or facilitates the commercial sexual exploitation of a child as a tourist activity commits an offence and is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term of ten years. (2) A person who permits, tolerates, co-operates with or realizes activities directed at promoting Belize as a destination for the commercial sexual exploitation of a child commits an offence and is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term of ten years.
