Dispensing of repeat prescriptions

The person dispensing a prescription shall, at the time of dispensing it, mark thereon the date on which it is dispensed and, 26 Misuse of Drugs in the case of a prescription which may be dispensed two or three times, the date on which it is dispensed the second time and the date on which it is dispensed the third time, and shall, unless it is a health insurance prescription, retain it and keep it on the premises where it is dispensed so that it may be available for inspection.
