Form of request

(1) The central authority may accept a written request from a foreign State where the written request complies with this section. (2) For the purposes of this section, a written request shallInternational Co-operation Act [CAP. 103:04 11 (a) bear the original signature and seal of a person authorised by the foreign State to make a request; and (b) not be transmitted by electronic means. (3) In urgent cases, the central authority may accept an oral request, or a request communicated by facsimile or e–mail, provided it is confirmed by a written request within seven days.
