Assistance in forfeiture proceedings

(1) The central authority may, by order made pursuant to section 19 assist with a request to enforce a foreign forfeiture order if such order is in compliance with the provisions of section 19. (2) Without limiting the provisions of section 19, a foreign forfeiture order shall not have effect for the purposes of this Act or any enactment referred to in section 19(5) until it is registered by the Supreme Court of Belize. International Co-operation Act [CAP. 103:04 31 (3) The central authority may, under an order made under sub–section (1), prescribe requirements to be satisfied before the court can register a foreign forfeiture order.
