Appointment of third parties

(1) A reporting financial institution may appoint a person as an agent of the reporting financial institution’s to carry out any Mutual Administrative Assistance or all of the duties and obligations imposed on the reporting financial institution by this Part. (2) Notwithstanding its appointment of an agent pursuant to sub-section (1), the reporting financial institution shall ensure that the reporting financial institution continues to have access to and is able to produce to the competent authority records and documentary evidence used to identify and report on reportable (3) The reporting financial institution is responsible for any failure of the person appointed pursuant to sub-section (1) to carry out the reporting financial institution’s obligations.
