Abduction defined

Every person who unlawfully takes another person with intent to permanently or temporarily deprive a person of his freedom against his will or with intent to force a person to be married or to have sexual intercourse or engage in sexual activity with any person commits the offence of abduction and is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than ten years but which may extend to imprisonment for life.
