Prohibition of contact order

A court shall, in a case where allegations in relation to child abuse including any sexual offences are made, impose an order that from the date the complaint is made to the police until the matter is resolved in court or otherwise, the alleged perpetrator shall have no personal contact with the complainant or the complainant’s parents or legal guardians.
