Explanation as to withholding public moneys, etc

If a public officer is summarily adjudged to be imprisoned under the provision of this Title relating to the withholding of moneys, things, documents, he shall be discharged upon his satisfying the court before whom he was convicted, or any court of similar jurisdiction, that he has since his conviction performed the duty for default in performance of which he was adjudged to be imprisoned.
