Compounding crime

(1) Every person who without the leave of a court compounds any crime shall– (a) if the crime is a felony, be liable to imprisonment for two years; or (b) if the crime is a misdemeanour, be liable to imprisonment for six months. (2) This section shall not apply to any misdemeanour punishable only on summary conviction. 159
