Assaulting magistrate, etc., in riot

Every person who assaults any magistrate, justice of the peace, officer or person, executing any duty or authority for the suppression of a riot, or for the dispersion or arrest of any persons engaged in a riot, or assembled with the purpose of committing a riot, shall be liable to imprisonment for five years.
