Abetment of desertion

Every person who, not being subject to any Articles of War or Articles of the Navy or the Air Force, abets the desertion of any person subject to such Articles, or the commission by any such person of any assault upon a superior officer being in the execution of his office, shall be liable to imprisonment for two years.
