When Act shall take effect

(1) Every Act enacted by the National Assembly shall take effect and come into force on the date it receives the assent of the Governor- General, unless some other date is therein specified for its coming into force, or unless its coming into operation has been postponed by the National Assembly. Date Act comes into force. (2) The date on which any Act has been assented to by the Governor- General shall be printed in some conspicuous place on every copy of the Act and shall, subject to subsection (1) of this section, be taken notice of in all courts and for all purposes as the date such Act becomes law. 30
